Family garden, Exminster

The client brief was to re-design an impractical sloping section of the back garden to create a more level and usable space, and incorporate a patio seating area.

The works included: excavation of soil and construction of a large retaining wall with steps to provide access to the lower level, and a raised bed in front. The retaining wall had a picket fence above to provide safety and incorporated a slide to the lower lawn level for the children. A patio was constructed to mirror the contour of the wall, with a fan-shaped pergola above to give shade.

“Daniel and his team spent six weeks transforming our garden in the summer of 2016. Daniel designed and built a large curved retaining wall with a raised bed, a stunning pergola and patio area, and a pathway and fence. The quality of workmanship was second to none. Daniel checked that we were happy at every stage and would offer ideas and advice as needed. Always professional and a genuinely lovely team to have around…we would not hesitate to recommend Daniel and his team.”
